Using AI for customer intelligence, real-time personalization marketing, and corporate optimization

AI is defined as “the study and design of intelligent agents”, where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chances of success. AI is used to make predictions on data, rather than following only explicitly programmed instructions. AI is particularly important for the casino and sports betting industry because it can be used for personalization marketing, customer retention, network security, optical character recognition (OCR), voice recognition, computer vision, fraud detection, predictive asset maintenance, optimization, language translations, and sentiment analysis. Andrew Pearson, founder and managing director of Intelligencia Limited, a leading analytics and AI implementer, will explain how casinos and sports books can utilize supervised and unsupervised learning, as well as reinforcement learning and deep learning to tackle the biggest problems facing the gaming industry today. An in-depth discussion will explain how AI solutions integrate with standard enterprise data warehouses, data lakes and real time stream-processing engines as well as how they can be work seamlessly with open source and commercial software solutions.

AI can help a casino or sports book discover customer segments that they may not realize were there. Armed with this kind of information, casinos and/or sports book can understand what matters most to their customers at the individual and personalization level, which will enable them to anticipate their customer’s needs before even the customers are aware of them. The use of deep neural networks and image classifiers can analyze and parse images, which can enable casino marketers to monitor the images that provide the highest selling and conversion rates through each ecommerce and customer channel.

AI and ML can also be used to compute dynamic clusters of customers to create fluid segmentation in real-time. As consumer buying habits or booking patterns evolve, fluid segmentation ensures the casino and/or sports book continues to reach the right guests, at the right time, at the right price, through the right channels, with the right offer.

AI will radically change the marketing landscape by allowing personal shopping for everyone. AI can be utilized by chatbots to increase customer service. Utilizing AI, social media can be both a listening and a predictive customer service channel that can minimize customer interaction and also maximize ROI. Marketing automation can be optimized and seamless programmatic media buying can occur to send out the best offer on the best channel at the most potentially profitable time.

The Sports Betting & Gaming India Conference (SBGI) promises a busy conference schedule and outstanding panel of industry experts and speakers.

Gambling in India is heavily restricted and the SGBI panel of experts and speakers will evaluate both the potential and the possible impact of legalized gambling in the country. The Indian government’s willingness to consider and clarify gambling legislation provides the ideal background against which the conference speakers and delegates will discuss a wide range of topics and issues - ranging from anti money laundering strategies to the challenges and opportunities that come with eSport.

Day one of the conference proceedings will see a keynote address delivered by Tim Shepherd, founder of Silver Heritage: Show me the money: How the global gaming industry is responding to the liberalisation of gambling regulations and how can you capitalise. The question on everybody’s mind, whether GST will be a game changer in the sports betting and gaming industry in India, will be thoroughly dissected and interrogated.

Two panel discussions will further explore the current legal scenario of gambling in India, as well as the conventional status of lotteries and more innovative measures for it to grow.
