CDI is a niche player in the BI field, competing with the likes of Bis2. The GlobalSuite™ platform easily consumes data from disparate data sources to be presented for analysis via the GlobalSuite™ Application Control Center, interactive 2D/3D Graphical Analysis Interface, user-friendly report libraries and ad hoc report analysis module. - Importing/exporting data to and from any data repositories accessible through Microsoft data connectivity components.
- Displaying SharePoint reports provided by other BI solutions.
- Casino analysis focus to compliment your other BI assets.
GlobalSuite’s control center portals make the concept of dashboards obsolete. This new design allows users of any background to perform advanced analysis, as well as launch reports and pivot tables from within various portals to display more detailed information.
An ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) process is constructed to import data from all identified sources into staging tables in the gaming warehouse. Data transformations are implemented at this stage to standardize field naming conventions and data types as well as cleansing and formatting data. Additional support tables are also created in cases where it is necessary for data that is required by the application to be manually input when it is not available through any external data sources. The ETL process can run as often as necessary depending on when new data is made available. The data cube is the main data source of the GlobalSuite™ application.
The GlobalSuite™ application performs multidimensional queries on a data cube to derive the data sets used by features within the dashboard, graphical floor, pivots and reports. Users can quickly traverse historical data to evaluate performance trends that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
In summary, data sources may originate from one or more locations, be in different structures and formats and accessible through differing methods. Designing a data warehouse to import, stage and manipulate information made available by those data sources provides accurate, reliable and consistent data for deriving data cubes.
GlobalSuite™ uses cubes as its primary data source to deliver timely and actionable analytics through its dashboard control center, 2D and 3D graphical interface and reporting tools. The backend processes are hosted by Microsoft’s powerful trio of SQL Server services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SQL Server Reporting Services enabling the development of a reliable scalable BI data management and reporting solution.
